Pets Vets Bills
There are so many people that have pets that they cannot afford to take them to the vet when an emergency arises. I thought that with this page I could get some donations to help people with their emergency pet situations when the need comes up. I had an emergency come up with Precious that I had to come up with almost $1400.00. The bad thing is that a lot of veterinarian offices will not work with you on the payments. In my case they would not treat my dog if I said I could not come up with the money. I guess they would have just let her die for their money. Well I decided that this has got to stop. If there is an emergency and we have the funds here we can help. Right now we don't have the funds. We are trying to build it up so we can help people with their vet bills. We will have a list of rules and applications up once we acquire some funds to cover the cost of an emergency like this. We will be strict about it, because we don't want this to be abused by people that actually have the money, but just don't want to pay it. If you have any suggestions, please contact us and we will hear them and  see if they will work for us. In the meantime, please donate, and get your friends and family members to donate too, by click on the donate link below. Thanks!
Meet Rocky. He is such a little ham. Always goofing around. He came to us because another family had adopted him and decided they didn't want him. He had been moved around several times until he came to us. He was really skittish and scared a lot. He is still a little skittish, but not as bad as he use to be. Before one of us could just raise our hand for a different reason that wasn't even related to anything he was doing (like reaching up to scratch our head) and he would jump back and start shaking. He turned out to be a very good dog.
Mystery is a rotweiller mix, or at least I am assuming she is. She is not as big as other rottweillers, but she is still big. She also still has her tail. Mystery was abandoned in the town I use to live in and ended up in my yard. I took her in and placed ads, flyers and searched the internet to see who had lost this dog. I didn't have any luck finding the owners. I did not have the money at the time to take her and keep her, so I talked with the NC rottweiller rescue to see if they could take her. They didn't have anyone that could foster her at the time, so they asked me if I could be a foster to her, and I did. They helped me with her vet bills, and getting her spayed. When I could afford it better I decided I wanted to adopt her and keep her as my own, so I did. She use to be scared of everything, and still is still scared of some things (mainly thunder and loud noises). She has gained so much weight and loves chasing the water out of the hose and getting wet.
Bella (short for Isabella) was a puppy when we got her. A family had adopted her as a puppy and decided they couldn't keep her. If they didn't find a home for her they was going to send her to the pound. I told them I would take her so she wouldn't go to the pound. She is a beautiful dog. They told me she was a catahoula, which is like a cattle dog.  I knew she would end up big because she had such big feet when she was a puppy. She is not scared of hardly anything, but she sure doesn't like staying outside for to long. She also loves the water. Bella and Mystery are very best friends. They are always together.
Rusty is a different story. I have had him for about 11 or so years. He was a puppy that someone dumped off at my house. I did not want to have another dog at that time, so I found him a home. That did not work out, so I took him back and found him another home, that one didn't work out either, so back he came again. I found him a third home, and that didn't work out either, so I took him back and decided he was suppose to be with me forever. He has had a kind of rough life. About 5 or 6 years ago I went to have him neutered and to have a bladder stone removed from his bladder at the same time. The stone was so big they had to literally peel his bladder away from the stone to get it out. After a couple of days at the vets they sent him home with me. The day he came home he was acting strange, so I called the vet and told them what was going on and they told me to bring him back up there asap, so I did. Come to find out he was infected on the inside, so they had to treat him. He was at the vets for 2 weeks. At one point one day he took a turn for the worse. The vet asked me what I wanted to do...did I want to fix him or put him down. I told the vet to fix him and do whatever it took to get my boy better again. They fixed him and he came home after being there for 2 weeks. I was so happy to have him back home and well. He is a spoiled rotten little boy too, that loves his mommy and daddy.
Meet Rambo. He is a chiauaua mix. He has some long legs and loves to jump and play. A neighbor where we use to live had some dogs that had puppies and he came over one day and handed me a puppy and said here this is for you. I tried to tell him I couldn't take anymore dogs, but he kept insisting, so I said ok. I guess I am just an old softie when it comes to animals, but I have to limit myself now. With so much going on in my family life and me getting up in age, I am trying not to keep so many dogs at one time. Rambo thinks he is my body guard. He watches over me and if someone tries to mess with me, even in picking, he starts barking and growling at them. He sticks to me like glue most of the time.
This is Precious. Not long ago she was at the vets fighting for her life. She had pancreaticitis. They had her on Iv's, pain meds, and other fluids. She was such a good little girl, being so brave. The vet was able to save her, but if would have waited and not take her to the vet, she would have died. I could not afford the $1400.00 bill that she cost me, but I was able to scrape the money up. She is a part of my family, like a child to me, so I wanted to do what I could for her to make her better. If I was able to find a place that helped with vets bills, I would not be in the situation of not having the money and getting deeper in debt to pay for it.
